न-उनयति-ध्वनयत्य्-एलयत्य्-अर्दयतिभ्यः

After the causatives of the verbs ūna 'to decrease', dhvana 'to sound', il 'to send' and arda 'to go or to beg' caṅ is not the substitute of cli in the chandas (Vedas).,

Thus we have ऊनयीः in the Vedas; औनिनस् in the classical literature; so also ध्वनयीत्, ऐलयीः and अर्दयीत्; their classical forms being अदिध्वनत् , ऐलिलत्, an आर्दिदत्. See Rig Veda (I. 53, 3), (I. 162. 15.) and Panini (VII 2. 5).,
