पुषादि-द्युताद्य्-ऌदितः प्रस्मैपदेषु

aṅ is the substitute of cli after the verbs puṣ 'to nourish' and the rest; dyut 'to shine' and the rest; and the verbs having an indicatory ḷ , when the affixes of the parasmaipada follow.,

The verbs classed as पुषादि, are a sub-division of the 4th conjugational verbs; and द्युतादि verbs belong to the Ist conjugation. As पुष्, अपुषत् 'he nourished'; द्युत्, अद्युतत् 'he shone'; गम्लृ, अगमत् 'he went'. But not so in the Atmanepada; as व्यद्योतिष्ट, अलोतिष्ट.,
