The affix aṇ comes in the sense of 'this is his' after the word ātharvaṇika and the penultimate ik is elided.,
This debars वुञ् 4.3.126. Thus आथर्वणिकस्यायम् = आथर्वणो धर्म आम्नाथोवा \the Atharvana i. e. the Law or the Tradition of the Atharvanikas\. The phrase चरणाद् धर्माम्नाययोः is understood here. This sutra is also a vartika.,
