At the end of a non-karmadhāraya tat-puruṣa samāsa the words vargya etc. have acute accent (udātta) on the first syllable.,
Thus वासुदेवव꣡र्ग्यः, वासुदेवप꣡क्ष्यः, अर्जुनव꣡र्ग्यः, अर्जुनप꣡क्ष्यः ॥ In a Karmadharaya we have परमवर्ग्यः ॥ The words वर्ग्य &c are no where exhibited as such; the primitive words वर्ग, पूग, गण &c subdivision of दिगादि 4.3.54 are here referred to, as ending with यत् affix.,
