An immediately preceding gati -- gatiśca [[1.4.60]], retains its original accent before (a word formed by) a kṛt-affix beginning with t which as an indicatory n but before tu,
Thus प्र꣡कर्ता (with तृन् ) प्र꣡कर्तुम् (with तुमुन्), प्र꣡कृतिः (with क्तिन्) ॥ This sutra debars the Krit-affix accent 6.2.139. Why do we say \before an affix beginning with त्\? Observe प्रज꣡ल्पाकः formed with the affix पाकन् 3.2.155, and the Gati प्र, the accent being governed by 6.2.139. Why do we say 'which is नित्'? Observe प्रकर्ता formed by तृच् affix. When a Krit-affix takes the augment इट्, it does not lose its character of beginning with त् on the Vartika कृदुपदेशो वा ताद्यर्थमिडर्थम् ॥ Thus प्र꣡लपिता, प्र꣡लपितुम् ॥ Why do we say \but not before तु\? Observe आगन्तुः꣡ with the Unadi affix तुन् ॥,
