ṣ is substituted for the s of saṅga after the word aṅguli in a compound.,
Thus अङ्गुलिषङ्ग । अङ्गुलिषङ्गो यवागूः । अङ्गुलिषङ्गो गाः सादयति ॥ Why do we say in a compound? Observe अङ्गुले सङ्गं पश्य ॥
The word सङ्गः is exhibited in the sutra in the nominative case. The force is here that of Genitive i. e. सङ्गस्य ॥,
