[anugataḥ mukhyaṃ kalpaṃ] 1 A secondary direction or precept, a substitute or alternative to be used in times of necessity when the primary one (prathamakalpa) is not possible; as the direction to use godhūma or taṃḍula in the absence of yava; prabhuḥ prathamakalpa- sya yo'nukalpena vartate Ms. 11. 30, 3. 147.
2 A work connected with kalpa (one of the six auxiliaries of the Vedas).
