a. Without a joint. n. 1 No joint or point of conjunc- tion.
2 A day which is not a parvan i. e. not the proper time or season (the Parva days being amāvāsyā, paurṇimā, aṣṭamī, caturdaśī &c.); aparvaṇi grahakaluṣeṃdumaṃḍalā vibhāvarī kathaya kathaṃ bhavi- ṣyati M. 4. 15. Comp. daṃḍaḥ a sort of sugar-cane.
