2 Ved. The shaft (of a car).
3 The fore- part of the arm, the hand. stiḥ The sun. f. An epithet of Svāhā, the wife of Agni. Comp. karaḥ, pāṇiḥ, mālin m., hastaḥ, mat m. the sun. nemiḥ N. of Viṣṇu.
