II. 1. 72); ºkarā, ºdvitīyā, ºprakasā, ºvāṇijā, ºsvāgatā where it has the sense of ‘excluding,’ ‘expelling’, ‘refusing admission to’; e. g. ºvāṇijā a ceremony where merchants are ex- cluded; so ºdvitīyā &c. Comp. vātā N. of a plant which expels wind.
