3 Submissive, humble, modestly submitting; pra- hveṣvanirbaṃdharuṣo hi saṃtaḥ R. 16. 80.
4 Devoted or attached to, en- gaged in, engrossed by. Comp. aṃjali a. bowing with the palms of the hand joined and put to the forehead as a mark of respect.
