a. [tṛp-ṇic vā lyuṭ] Satis fying, pleasing, refreshing. ṇaṃ 1 Pleasing, satisfying.

2 Satis- faction, pleasure.

3 Satiety, ful- ness.

4 One of the five daily Yajñas (performed by men), pre- senting libations of water to the Manes of the deceased ancestors (pitṛyajña).

5 Fuel for the sacred fire.

6 Food.

7 Filling the eyes with oil &c. Comp. icchuḥ an epithet of Bhīṣma.
