2 A shield. ṭaṃ 1 Grass.
2 Hide, skin. (N. B. At the end of comp. kheṭa expresses ‘de- fectiveness’ or ‘deterioration’, & may be rendered by ‘miserable’, ‘low’, ‘vile’, ‘wretched’ &c.; nagarakheṭaṃ a miserable town.)
