Sri Aurobindo’s School
Sri Aurobindo's synthesis - the spiritual evolution of consciousness as the framework within which India's civilizational mission - and humanity's future - can be understood, making it the most philosophically ambitious Hindu response to modernity.
Shri Aurobindo reaffirmed almost the entire Indian tradition, giving us the very terminology of thought and the template for action. He tackled the contemporary problems and showed us how it is only the spirit of Sanatana Dharma which can make Bharatvarsha rise again, and can be a hope for the entire world for striking harmony with Nature and with Culture.
Shri Aurobindo saw the soul of Bharatvarsha in Sanatana Dharma as became clear with his seminal call to action in the Uttarpara speech. For him, India was nothing if not guided by the founding philosophy of Sanatana Dharma. Coming later than Swami Vivekananda his rebellion against the British was even more completely rooted in the foundations of Sanatana Dharma. He saw India’s future only in a culture infused with Sanatana values.
